So Trump Is Gone - Or Is He?

Reading the liberal blogs you would never know Trump is no longer president. They will carry their hate for a long time, probably forever. So what's next for Trump by the liberals? Impeachment!

McConnell said today, he will delay the trial for Trump. Delaying even longer the start of Biden's policies. Mitch playing his political games again, to his benefit. It takes 2/3'rds of the Senate to convict, so the Democrats new tie majority will not get Trump convicted.

Don't think the Republicans will just do the right thing. They never have, and they don't care what Americans think about their position. Why should they? If the past is any gauge, Republicans know the American people will not hold them responsible, in fact, Americans will forget what they did by the time the next election comes around.

Meantime, this revenge by the liberals is holding back progress for the country., not just because of impeachment, but for all the other charges the  Democrats want to file against Trump.

  1. I think revenge is the wrong word. Accountability is not revenge and sorry I want that a lot for once anyway.

If there had been some for the War for Lies in Iraq we wouldn't be here.

    1. Today Biden agreed with the delay, so he could get his Cabinet approved.
What accountability, or penalty will Trump get if he is convicted? What accountability, or penalty did Trump get from his first impeachment?

    2. Jerry... I also think it is about accountability. The penalty if he is convicted can also include disqualifying him from ever holding federal office ever again. Sedition is the disqualifying factor and should be enforced.

    3. Disqualification for ever running for federal office does not come with a conviction. The Senate would have to make that separate vote. In fact, the Senate could vote that Trump is disqualified from ever running for federal office without convicting him.

  2. You said Democrats want revenge. I'm saying that again revenge is the wrong word. Revenge has never really entered my thought process and I think that true for many on the Left. Is it revenge to want some justice for a change for acts committed that are criminal? I don't think so.

    1. I got that from reading several liberal blogs, not yours. Their words had little to do with accountability and plenty to do with penalty.
I think Trump should be hung from the highest yardarm, but not at the expense of slowing Biden's agenda, which he has outlined in detail over the last 48 hours, but those same liberal blogs said nothing about Biden's agenda. Trump is gone. Forget that bastard. Lest get behind what Biden wants to do. Biden wants to delay an impeachment trail so he can get his Cabinet through Congress.

  3. There's no need to rush the trial.

Jerry, you're right about not expecting Republicans to do the right thing. I agree they won't convict Trump again. But impeachment was the appropriate and constitutional action. Let the Cult submit one more time to their insurrectionist leader, and it will be on the record.

Fear not, subpoenas and indictments are on their way.

    1. I'd like to see Trump in jail which will not happen through a conviction in the Senate, which will slow Biden's agenda. I believe subpoenas and indictments are on their way and I have faith in that process to put him where he belongs, in jail. I understand people think it's important for history to impeach him. I will take Biden's lead on a trial. Right now, he's more interested in getting his agenda through the Senate and so am I.
      Thanks for stopping by.

  4. You keep referring to what Democrats want. Maybe you were one of the 74 Million who voted for ol' what's his face but speaking for me and some folks who DIDN'T .... I want what's good for the future of my country. Lonesone Rhodes or someone else LIKE him is not good for my country. If you agree seditious citizens - WHOMever - should not be held accountable, YOU are part of the problem.
    Kindest Regards,

    1. That's not at all what I was saying bj. Sorry you misunderstood. Like I said, hang them (him) from the highest yardarm.
