Could Pelosi Lose Her Leadership Position?

There is a movement by the new Democratic House majority to oust Pelosi as their leader. 14 House democrats have signed a letter of intent to not vote for Pelosi as leader. Democrats would need 20 votes to oust Pelosi. Insiders say Pelosie's chances of keeping her leadership role is good. The anti-Pelosi Democrats have not put up an alternate candidate. It's hard to lose an election with no one running against you. I prefer to see Pelosi gone.

The Republican House members could have a say in this fight, but they would most certainly vote for Pelosi to keep the in fighting in the new Democratic majority going.

There is the possibility of splitting the Democratic caucus creating the same problem Obama had with Blue Dog Democrats when Obama had House majority for his first two years as president.
