  1. I wish I had appreciated Frank when I was younger. My Mom listened to Frank's LPs on the 'entertainment center'. And Billy Vaughn. I can still hear her singing along to Red Sails On The Sunset, and this song on the Swing Time album was one of her favorites, too. I didn't really pick up on just how good Mr. Sinatra could sound until late in his life. But that's one of the great things about recorded music. It'll wait for you until you're ready for it. Thanks for the flashback.

      This is quintessential Sinatra. His styling, his phrasing, his voice.

      He sounded different than his early bobby sox days. Smoother, more pronounced. As the saying goes, he had a way with a song.
