The "Old Farmers Almanac" predicts a much colder than normal winter.

NOAA predicts normal to slightly warmer Winter weather.
The Almanac's use a "secret" equation based on Astrology and planet position. NOAA uses computer generated predictions.
All the weather bureaus came out with their Winter weather predictions this week. It seems there is much disagreement between them. Maybe that's what you get with unpredictable weather patterns during an era of climate change.
I advise keeping your eye on your local (territorial) 5 day weather forecasts.
